Artist Biography
Lea’s introduction to ceramics began on an Art Foundation course at Bournmouth College followed by completion of the Studio Pottery Course at Harrow. Drawn to brighter stronger colours, she went on to work for slipware potter Mary Wondrausch in Compton, Surrey. Setting up her first workshop she began experimenting with earthenware, strong colour palettes and glazes. She also completed an apprenticeship with The Dartington Pottery. She now works as a successful and independent potter in Weymouth. She is a member of the Craft Potters Association and Make South West.
