Jane Skingley
Jane Skingley’s paintings are semi-abstract seascapes which aim to capture the atmosphere of the English coastline and it’s unpredictable weather conditions. She spent much of her childhood sailing around the British coastline and it remains a huge inspiration for her work today.
Jane is interested in the emotional response that we get from spending a day by the seaside whether the sun shines or a storm has just passed by. She is particularly drawn to the coastal palette of steely blues, greys and warm creams.
Jane’s paintings have been a great success in the gallery, and she continues to show her work extensively in the UK.
