Edward Willis
Ed takes much of his inspiration from animal and plant forms in creating his kinetic table sculptures. He describes his elegant and striking pieces as being designed to provoke contemplation and meditation in the observer. His softly moving mobiles are constructed from striking metal forms painted in strong colours such as silver and gold, delicately balanced with black wire to give gentle rotation and movement.

Artist Biography
Ed Willis has no formal training in art. His father was a painter who taught Fine Art. Ed himself has a Degree in Philosophy from Bristol University. He has always held an interest in painting and drawing however. He began making simple mobiles for his newborn son, inspired by the work of sculptor Alexander Calder. He has since exhibited successfully for many years throughout the country.
