Andrew Pitt
Andrew Pitt lives in Reydon, Southwold and his passion for the East Anglian Landscape and coastline is obvious. He works outside ‘en plein air’ his masterful use of watercolours capturing a particular weather and light.
His vibrant specks of colour and swift brushstrokes manage to capture the everyday life of Southwold’s working harbour, peace of the marshlands and busy seaside beach life.
Andrew Pitt has had numerous exhibitions and solo shows over the past 35 years and has a loyal youtube following for his online teaching.

Artist Biography
Southwold artist Andrew Pitt was born in Maldon and educated at the Gilberd School, Colchester, and St. Andrew’s University. He has been painting since the age of 11, concentrating often on landscapes and marine scenes. He has had successful solo exhibitions since 1980, and also contributed to numerous mixed shows. His work is included in The Encyclopedia of Watercolour Landscapes and he is a regular contributor to the Leisure Painter magazine. He also works as a tutor, holding popular painting workshops and tutorials. His pictures are held in private collections throughout the UK, Canada, North America, Holland, New Zealand, Slovakia and Australia.
